"Sweetest Sin" is the lead single from Jessica Simpson's third studio album, "In This Skin".  The single was released in early summer 2003 to US radio and peaked at number 37 on the Billboard Pop Songs Chart.

"Sweetest Sin" (2003) was penned by Diane Warren and produced by Ric Wake.  The original record of "Sweetest Sin" was originally recorded as a "Jessica Simpson" styled power ballad, however, after submission to executives at Sony Music they determined that the original cut would alienate listeners who wanted to sing along.  Due to this critique, Simpson re-recorded her vocals.
