Just Whitney (Album Snippet Sampler)
Whitney Houston
iTunes/AAC/256 kbps

"Just Whitney" is the fifth studio album from American entertainer, Whitney Houston.   The album was released in 2002 by Ms. Houston's long-time label, ARISTA Records, and peaked at number nine on the Billboard 200.  A total of four singles, "Whatchulookinat", "One of Those Days", "Try It on My Own" and "Love That Man", were released from the album.

Unlike Ms. Houston's previous album, "My Love Is Your Love" (1998), "Just Whitney", failed to make the same commercial impact and was met with mixed reviews from critics.  Many believed the album's lack of commercial success was due to the overshadowing of her relationship with [then] husband Bobby Brown and their continued tabloid scandals.  The album did yield four singles all together (three commercial, one promotional), unlike its predecessor, the singles did not have the same success on mainstream radio stations.  "One of Those Days" peaked at 72 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the most successful single from the "Just Whitney" era.

Ms. Houston did manage to continue her streak of hit singles in the night clubs.  The singles, "Watchulookinat" (No. 13), "Try It On My Own (1), and "Love That Man" (1) all peaked respectively within the top 15 of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart(s).  It's important to note that upon the release of "Try It On My Own" mainstream radio stations favored the Thunderpuss mix over the original and ARISTA issued the Peter Rauofer mix of "Love That Man" as the main version for airplay (a music video was not commissioned).
